This time of year it’s easy to build a winter padding and lose your health and gym motivation. This winter let’s stay motivated and work through those winter blues together. Here are a few tricks to help us along the way.1. Have SEX:First off, it's pretty damn fun. Besides that it can help you stay on the slim-down path. An active sex life can help increase the release of endorphin's in your brain. Chocolate has the same effect but instead of adding to your calories for the day, replace it with sex! 2. Find your Groove:The North American Association for the Study of Obesity found that women are more likely to stick to an exercise program if they listen to music while working out. One of my favorite new websites is Jogtunes.com. Check it out!3. Recruit a Buddy:Having a partner in crime to motivate, inspire and push you farther is my key to success. My time is rather limited so this allows me to see friends, have a stellar workout, and feel great at the end of the day. 4. Goal Setting:Writing your goals out and posting them somewhere visible is a constant reminder of what you want to achieve. If you surround yourself with positive energy, thoughts, and motivation nothing can stop you. 5. Strength Training:Adding resistance not only builds muscle but allows your body to continually burn more calories. 6. Make a Game Plan:The average working day can be long, tiring and hard so coming in with a game plan is essential. Scaling back and slowing down are two amazing techniques. Serving meals on smaller plates can play tricks with your mind. Experts say you’ll think you’re eating more than you actually are. The slow down technique requires you to analyze your body after every few bites at a meal. So set your fork down, sip some water, and explore what your body is saying. Awareness is key!
