How to Heal in 1 Day:
Normally working ten hour days, five days a week, can be tiring and hard, add being sick and it truly becomes a struggle to get out of bed at 6:00 am. Yesterday I woke up with an awful sinus infection and a massive headache. Clearly I knew the work day would be a struggle, especially since preparations were in order for our companies’ major event this coming week. Knowing this I had to figure out a way to heal in one day.
Healing in 1 day, and how I did it:
1.       Call out of work:a.       The instant gratification of sleeping till 9:00 am was enough to put a smile on my face. Even though I truly felt like crap, it made me feel quite happy and excited to sleep in one day during the week. Forming a positive thought and being excited for a day of relaxation and healing put my mind in a lighter, happier place.2.       Get up and go for a walk:a.       Waking up and doing anything while you’re sick is a definite struggle but fresh air is a magical tool we sometimes forget to take advantage of. 3.       Come home and clean:a.       A clean space is a happy space, not only did I feel more relaxed afterwards I felt that I put my time to good use. 4.       Get your sweat on: a.       It’s definitely hard to work out on normal days, but when you’re sick it’s usually impossible. Somehow I mustered up the energy and elipticalled for 45 minutes. The endorphins I got, the toxins I got rid of, and the energy I felt made it all worth it.5.       A hot shower:a.       Nothing is better than a hot steamy shower. Warm water helps circulate blood, eliminates toxins, and rejuvenates your senses. 6.       Treat Yourself:a.       Treating yourself to something you truly enjoy that relaxes and calms you is a great healing technique. For those who know me this obviously means grocery shopping, followed by a manicure and pedicure (girlie I know). 7.       Tea:a.       Something that always helps is tea. Tea provides a calmer state of mind, aids with stomach and digestive problems, provides cleansing properties for the body, and promotes energy and wellness.b.      I made a natural fruit tea with dried mango, dried apricot, dried pineapple, dried cranberries, 3 pieces of star anise, and 1 cinnamon stick. The natural sweetness from the fruits makes this tea delicate and delicious.


The best part is eating the fruit at the end! 

Anyone have any other tools that help them heal in one day? Feel free to share them and add to the list. I have to say I feel loads better today. My nose is still giving me some issues, but all in all I am able to make my way through my 10 - hour work day.
